THE STORY

November 1st 2020, 6:50AM. It was 33 degrees atop a ridge looking east towards the Columbia Basin; Cedar and Scout Coffee was born. I am not sure if it was the calm clarity of the location or the curiosity of what was yet to come of the adventure; the tangible emotion was overwhelming.
 

Six days later, wall tent and wood stove in my rear view; I was home and eager to share the inspiring scenery, camaraderie and genuine experiences from the week. As the moments were recounted, we quickly realized that Cedar and Scout was going to be a family journey.

We are the Opsata family, born and raised here in the PNW and now raising two boys of our own. We are adventurers, creatives, backyard farmers, hunter gatherers, nature goers and coffee lovers. Rooted in hospitality with backgrounds in food and beverage, quality that travels and unmatched service are our mission.
 

Through a cup of Cedar and Scout coffee we hope to inspire creativity, curiosity to travel, to promote kindness and community and to celebrate and protect the lands where we adventure.
